New details have emerged about the campaign by Warren Kinsella’s Daisy Group to attack Maxime Bernier and the People’s Party of Canada in the lead-up to the federal election campaign. Kinsella, pictured here with his then-wife, Lisa Kirbie Kinsella, wanted to target Bernier as ‘racist’ and ‘a white supremacist.’ (Spencer Gallichan-Lowe / CBC News)

This is not surprising but still concerning regardless of ones support or not of the PPC. What else has been going on that hasn’t been exposed.

The past and present Liberals, Conservatives, appointed bureaucrats and likely others at the federal plus some provincial and municipal levels have been caught misleading or lying to party members, the general public, elected and appointed officials and sometimes to auditors, ethics commissioners other watchdogs and even police investigating serious allegations.

The lengths some parties, candidates and politicians are willing to go to, to win leadership races, get elected, re-elected or cover up wrong doing is more than just concerning.

We need a complete overhaul of how our political, government, judiciary and other public institutions are operated and their oversight to make sure public interests are the priority over self and special interests.
