Average Canadian household spends more on taxes than living costs in 2018, report finds

What is missing in this article is what the value for taxes is in Canada and among provinces. In Manitoba, especially in Winnipeg and some of the other provinces and cities residents are paying among the highest taxes, leves, fees and fines yet getting among the least in return. Add to this public utilities and public auto insurance that are costs high, low value and increasing at many times the rate of inflation with much of it diverted to general coffers and misused.

Bloated bureaucracy, incompetence, unethical influence and corruption are the main reasons.
