For all those people who feel that photo enforcement tickets make a mockery out of legal due process but could not put that sentiment into words – here is an excellent piece written by an American law professor who got one. The fundamental legal positions that he well-describes will form part of the upcoming Class Action against Winnipeg’s photo program – Todd Dube
Great article. Well worth the read. Well written and really shows how absurd the whole scamera industry is and begs one to wonder how it has been allowed for so long.
Some of what he had to do is even worse than here. I would be curious to find out if he got his double appeal bond back. I would think the Mayor or Province would not even consider increasing fines once we shutdown the program here as they are already up to 6 times higher than elsewhere in Canada.
