Mayor and Finance Chair to meet with Bond Rating Agencies

I wonder how this meeting went as OUR Mayor Bowman and Head of Finance tried to fend off another credit downgrade and interest rake hike from pillaging the public, economy and the related fiscal mismanagement.

I wonder how they justified the over $1 Billion in net debt and raising the debt ceiling since the last downgrade and crippling interest payment increases. Having Police ask for bailout to pay their bloated pensions after they already got a 6.5% budget increase. How WPS had to borrow parts from the RCMP for AIR One as they broke and ……

They probably won’t show them all the photos of Air One and Military Armoured Vehicle with Blue Bombers and elsewhere. Or tell them about the bad Hydro land deal that they lied about or new Police Headquarters way over budget and being investigated by RCMP. Or that they needing to divert $Millions from MPIC to WPS after they complained it would have to lay off staff or cut services. Or they needed 2nd report that says growth fees needed after 1st only seen in closed door meeting said they weren’t needed and they would just hurt growth.

The public are paying for them to go down to NYC so this meeting and all expenses should be recorded and shared with the public.

This looks like a chance to have your say but warning it geared to give them the answers they want. If using it make sure to use comments sections to voice your concerns with this as well what your actual concers are. E.g. The City, Province, Many Departments, School Boards, Crown Corps and SOA’s have out of control and unsustainable spending on salaries, pensions, benefits, mgmt to staff ratio, expenses and more.

It another political trick of misleading the public to think there is no option other than not reduce taxes as promised or increase them.

Just tell them they have to cut the waste or better yet just contact the minfin@leg.gov.mb.ca

If enough respond and attend armed with facts not complaints they are more likely to listen and if they don’t it will be easier to get rid of them.

The City and Province, School Boards, WPS, WFPS, Justice System, MIT, MPIC, MLCC, Hydro and others as well as some SOA’s have out of control and unsustainable spending on salaries, pensions, benefits, mgmt to staff ratio and expenses yet we ranked amoungst the last in Canada in almost all import public services.

Manitobans need to demand they get more in return for some of the highest rates of taxes, fees and fines in Canada
