Two related news stories that highlight serious “independent” research integrity issues. U of C not the only one to ignore policies meant to prevent this. Worse that they tried to hide it and freedom of information requests were needed to expose.
I applaud the senior staff involved for pushing for independent research and resigning in protest if needed.
If the corporations are doing things safely and with the enviroment and public health in mind they have nothing to hide. If they are not and stop funding independent research then the government needs to fund it and regulators investigate the corporations.
We need to use our collective influence as voters by letting our elected and appointed officials know what we expect.
